A 2-year-old has become a viral sensation after she accidentally recorded her fellow passengers during a family cruise.
On August 2, Brittany Pieratt, from Texas, posted the clip her toddler recorded on TikTok, where it has since received more than 3 million views.
While waiting for a show to start on their Alaskan cruise, the 2-year-old propped up a phone and started to record. Moments later, a group in the background—a man and two women—noticed that they were being filmed.

With Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” playing on the speakers, they put on an impromptu performance—swaying, dancing and singing along to the lyrics.
The unexpected act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed by Pieratt, whose laugh is heard in the video. “I turned around and high-fived another woman sitting next them [who] isn’t in the frame,” she told Newsweek.
Pieratt wrote in the video’s text overlay, “When your toddler starts recording and the people behind you are good sports.”

The TikToker’s video prompted a flurry of comments from other social media users, with the most-liked comment speculating that the couple had to be grandparents. “You can tell,” the user added.
Others agreed, and another user commented that the couple had “understood the assignment.”
One TikTok user shared a similar experience of when she was dancing in her car and a man across the street started doing the same.

“I love people like this,” the user wrote. “He made my entire year from that.”
“This is like when a toddler hands you a play phone,” another added. “You answer that call. If a toddler starts recording and a popular song is on, you better dance.”
Pieratt told Newsweek: “My favorite comment so far has been ‘wholesome video,’ and I couldn’t agree more—silly and sweet. You can tell those people behind her are a good, kindhearted couple.”
A commenter discussed the “united” cruise ship community, writing that when they were on a cruise, they enjoyed sitting at tables and getting to know strangers, who they would then see “throughout the ship and say hi all holiday.”
Another user said, “This is the wholesome content I needed this morning! She’s so precious and they are great sports.”
